How to practice gratitude

Gratitude is a powerful emotion! People who regularly practice gratitude have less stress, feel happier, sleep better and have better relationships. It also helps you to put situations into perspective and helps you to realize what you have. And the best part: we can all practice it! Here are some ways to practice gratitude:

 

Keep a gratitude journal and write one or more things you are grateful for one a daily basis

 

 

When you think a negative thought, try to see the positive side in the situation

 

 

Give compliments!

 

 

Meditate, reflect and be grateful for the good qualities you possess within yourself.

 

 

Tell your loved ones that they mean a lot to you and that you appreciate them 

 

 

Go for a walk and try practicing gratitude for what you notice 

 

 

Include an act of kindness in your day to day life

 

 

Don’t gossip and/or speak badly about others
